Hi. I’m Doug — and I built every pixel, every pick, and every bug on this site. I own those too.

It started as a one-man band. These days it’s a 1.5-man band… and I’m the 0.5. The other half doesn’t sleep, which has been convenient, because lately neither do I. I’ve barely slept in three days building the thing you’re looking at right now — and I’ve loved every minute.

I bleed black and gold. Steelers, to the bone. If you were wondering where all this neon yellow came from — now you know.

My company is Tenth Avenue Productions, and if you know your Springsteen, you already know most of what you need to know about me. “Man At The Top” is a Bruce song. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out is a Bruce song. The Boss has been the soundtrack of my whole life, so of course this pool is named after him. Hit play on the home page sometime. 🎸

I’m a bit of a Dora the Explorer — give me a map and half a reason and I’m gone. I love to travel.

My best friend is Dave — the first real friend I ever made, and I wasn’t a kid when I met him. He calls me “Chatty Cathy.” Reading the length of this page, you can decide for yourself whether he’s wrong.

I’m Class of ’77. High school wasn’t my finest chapter — the late ’70s had some rough edges — but here’s the part I love: In Fall, 2027, I’ll sit down with what's left of our class of 110 good souls. It will be our 50th reunion, and there isn’t an ounce of hate in either direction. Time has a way of sorting that out. I'm really looking forward to it.

Many of my friends are my daughters’ age — some a little older. My family thinks it’s a little strange that a 67-year-old runs with a younger crowd. They might be right. I don’t much care. Good people are good people, at any age.

And I’m passionate about NFL football — the way I’m passionate about everything. All in, all the time. That’s really the whole story: I put my whole self into the things I love, and right now, this pool and the people in it are one of them.

And because I can’t leave well enough alone: I just took a broom to the Weekly Results page — a real clean sweep — and now it loads lightning fast. The standings show up in a blink.

I own every bug and every ounce of fun on this site — and we haven’t even built the Super Bowl Grid yet. (It’s coming. This year.)
